King - ADOPTED 12.31.09 King was featured on LDDR’s home page during July 2009. LDDR was contacted to help this poor boy who had been surrendered to a mid MI shelter with a request that he be euthanized. When King arrived at his foster home flies swarmed his head, he had a terrible stench and matts covered his body, some encrusted with feces. A victim of neglect, King required T.E.C.A. surgery to alleviate the massive infections in his ears. The infections left King deaf. A fairy tale ending for King who was adopted at Christmas 2009. Today King, now known as Toby, lives life large with his mom and two canine ‘siblings’. According to his adoptive mom he is doing great and seems very happy. Yeah King!!! |
