Message From: Carole Powell August 5, 2021 Donation of $50 in memory of Peggy O'NEIL. Message From: Stephanie A Patil September 13, 2020 I just want to thank the group for Brooke. I fostered her starting when she was 4. She had spent 2 years in the shelter where some of you made her life worth living by throwing a ball for her endlessly. I fostered her for 4 years, until we got a 6 foot fence and 3 meds to keep her safe and happy. She is now 11, my best friend. Message From: Carrie September 14, 2019 We adopted Nova, now Athena from you on 8/16/19. She has been a wonderful addition to our family. She is full of energy and playfulness. She is the biggest snugglebug and just loves to meet everyone (dog and human). Message From: Mary Ellen Menard May 3, 2019 I adopted Keiko on March 25, 2019. I am overjoyed at what a great girl she is. She has adjusted well to the change. She loves everyone and the love her. From her new vet and groomer to all my extended family. She is a great addition to my life and couldn't be happier with my adoption experience. Message From: Jill January 13, 2019 thanks for your good work Message From: Lori Little May 10, 2018 We adopted Athena (Xena) back on April 21st and has settled in nicely. She is wonderful and just loves belly rubs. She enjoys taking walks around the property. She has been a wonderful addition to our family. Message From: Mary Stanisz April 8, 2018 We adopted Scout (formerly Malbec) and are so happy to have him in our home. We were not planning on getting another dog just yet, but after seeing the wine litter we knew we had to meet them. LDDR was super helpful throughout the whole process, and Mariann was great with everything! We will be recommending anyone looking for a new addition to their family to LDDR. Thank you for everything! Message From: Lilly Dow February 10, 2018 My boyfriend and I adopted Caspian about six weeks ago and we could not be more in love. Cass is a perfect fit for our family and has been adjusting really well. He has met many of our neighbors and loves to go adventuring in the snow. We are so thankful to LDDR and Caspian's amazing foster family for bringing us together. Message From: ADDRESS ALINEmark January 31, 2018 great work you do Message From: Colleen January 15, 2018 I found Ebon (now know as Duffy) on the LDDR website just after Thanksgiving Day 2017. I had lost my older cat earlier in the year and my home just wasn't the same. Duffy has fit right in. He is such a sweet, affectionate little guy. I just love him. Thank you LDDR! Message From: Shannon July 11, 2017 We opted Brice (now known to us as Mulligan) on July 9, 2017. It was a big step for us after having lost all 3 of our dogs previously over the span of 5 years. Brice's foster mom, Dawn, was extremely helpful in making sure we had all the information we needed to make the decision. Brice/Mulligan is a perfect dog for our family, and we're so happy to have him with us. Thanks for everything you all do to help these amazing animals find forever homes! Message From: Kim McNutt March 19, 2017 Love the work you guys do! I am a foster grandma! I love meeting all your beautiful babies! Message From: Elizabeth December 30, 2016 I adopted Tevy (now named Annie) from LDDR back in March of 2009. She turned 10 years old this month. She has a few gray hairs but still loves playing and running and cuddling. I never had a dog before her, and now cannot imagine my life without a dog! Thank you so much to her foster family and for LDDR for rescuing her. I will be forever grateful for the work you do. Through Annie, you have changed my life for the better forever. Message From: Cindy Seets December 29, 2016 Lolita aka Lola adopted us officially November 30th, 2016. She is the love of our lives and has become the Diva she was destined to be. Her foster mom Jenna Joy made the transition smooth allowing for us to become a happy family. From the bottom of our hearts thank you LLDR for all you do #lovelola Message From: Nick & Mackenzie August 11, 2016 We adopted Neela- our Mini Aussie- last November. We have had so much fun with her the past few months. She has really adjusted well and has become a great part of our family. We feel so honored to be able to have given her a home. Thank you all at LDDR for being so cooperative and caring for the animals so well! Our experience with our foster mom was the best we could have asked for! Message From: Haley June 29, 2016 We opted Freebird (aka Duke) about a month ago and truly could not have asked for a better dog. He is such a good listener, gets along great with our cat and loves being part of the family and going on outings. Everyone at LDDR was wonderful to deal and we are so happy they made this all possible. He is such a fun and engaging little sweetheart, not to mention a heart breaker! We are so thankful that he is now part of our family-We didn't adopt Max; He adopted us!!! Thanks last day dog rescue. Message From: Brianna Hojnacki December 25, 2015 We signed up for the Last Day Dog Rescue to foster many dogs and puppies years ago. We had so much fun doing it! Today, I sent a collar from the Last Day Dog Rescue to an Internet show called Good Mythical Morning. It was featured in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TagIkORCHeE I just thought I'd let you guys know that hundreds of thousands and eventually millions of people will see this video and hear about your rescue. There is currently over 100,000 views in one day. Your welcome :) Good luck and Merry Christmas! Message From: Liz December 1, 2015 My husband Mark and I adopted Charlie (previously Jonah) about 2 weeks ago and it was one of the best decisions we could have ever made. Charlie is the best! He is a loving, sweet, intuitive, playful, cuddly, and calm Jack Russell Terrier mix. He is about a year old and couldnt make us any happier. I have longed for a canine pal for a long time now my dream has come true. Charlie somehow seems to know if I am feeling down and when I need some extra love. Our favorite thing to do is cuddle up on the couch with a good book or to watch tv. We also love walks and playing with toys. Charlie can be playful but he is a true couch potato at heart! I enjoy his company every day. Charlie is adapting nicelycto our house and coming along well with manners and potty training. He also loves to visit his grandma and grandpa- my parents. Charlie truly is a blessing. Thank you LDDR for saving so many lives and making my life better through adopting Charlie. Message From: Elizabeth Lewis December 1, 2015 My husband and I adopted Jonah (now Charlie) about two weeks ago and it was about the best thing we could have done! Charlie is amazingly loving, affectionate, cuddly, playful, and somehow seems to know when I am feeling down or need some extra love. He truly makes me feel loved. One of our favorite things to do is cuddle up on the couch with a good book or to watch tv. Charlie will cuddle for hours! He is adapting to his new home well, working well on manners and potty training and loves to play with his toys. He will even push a ball and catch it by himself! Charlie is such a happy sweet little guy who is becoming best buds with his grandma and grandpa (my parents) and enjoys visiting their house. Charlie is a true blessing to Mark and I. Thank you LDDR for all the lives you save and lives you change for the better. Message From: Julie September 5, 2015 We adopted Jett about a month ago. And now we couldn't picture our lives without him. He is so good and a perfect fit for our family. Our kids adore him and he loves them too. He is a quick learner and a great companion. Thank you for helping us find our perfect match!!! Message From: Payton family August 19, 2015 We adopted our Denny about 2 months ago and he is a wonderful dog very polite and protective of his home/people. I know saying polite and protective is contradicting but, he is the sweetest dog when he is properly introduced to people visiting our home. Other than that while out in about on walks or social outings he is a social butterfly and not so protective. Our family loves Denny so much we couldn't imagine life any different without him! Most of the dogs with this rescue are well socialized, potty trained, and trained in the manners department. By the way my Denny listens and reacts you can tell he was consistently worked with and taken care of. Oh and they offer 10 day trials on the animals or surrender of the animal to the rescue if for any reason they cannot be cared for (owner passing, new unsafe environment for the animal) not saying I would ever surrender my Denny but, that may appeal to some people if you are unsure about how the animal will react in your home environment. I love my Denny and I really adore the volunteers that handled us adopting Denny -all three Christina's :) adopt lddr! Message From: Kara July 10, 2015 We adopted "Egon" now known as Diesel June 16th 2015. He's been part of the family for almost a month now and I couldn't have ask for a better or smarter dog! He's full of love and energy and will do anything to make someone happy or just play with him. The vet says he's all healthy and a happy, friendly dog! He's already learned so much and got his potty training down!Hes growing up so fast!! Thank you for rescuing him LDDR we've met our life long best friend! Message From: Amber June 29, 2015 My fiance and I adopted Clarissa, a dilute calico cat, and renamed her Josie (with Clarissa as her middle name). Josie already had previous association with dogs and cats and found her spot very quickly into our home and hearts. She now has her favorite blanket in the living room picked out and knows where the gooshie food is kept. Josie will come and lay with us while we’re on the bed watching television and enjoys playing with the “wand” or “fishing rod” cat toys. We’re still working on finding a favorite treat for her but she can’t get enough of being petted. She is one of the sweetest cats I’ve ever met and I’m thankful for Last Day Dog Rescue for saving her and giving her a chance to find her forever home with us. Message From: Kellee Hamilton June 18, 2015 I lost my dog of 8yrs due to a genetic defect & I was heartbroken. My house no longer felt like a home without him so I decided to look for a rescue puppy to be a part of my family. I found the smartest, cutest & most playful puppy on LDDR site. I started the adoption process and eventually adopted Whatchamacallit, renamed Rebel ;) His foster mom was just wonderful, thank you Dianne for being such a great part of my puppy's start. Rebel is doing awesome, he plays with my granddaughter so well & my daughter's dog helps teach him even thou she is blind, he seems to learn well from her. I feel I have been blessed once again for finding Rebel. Message From: Shannon February 12, 2015 We had Georgie join our family in March of 2012. He is the best dog anyone could every ask for!!He loves to play "the ball", go "bye, bye" and "the baby" and to snuggle on my legs all 75 pounds of him!! I know it's cliche but we didn't rescue him, he rescued us!! Thank you for allowing us to add to our family!! Message From: Barb February 11, 2015 We adopted "Toto" now named Ellie who is a mix bread. She will be 2 next month and is the joy of our family's life. She brings a smile to our face and keeps her cat brother and not related sister busy with playing and having fun. I recommend Last Day Dog Rescue to everyone because of the knowledge and beliefs that you have. Keep up the great work and we will continue to love our Ellie Bellie. Thanks, Barb :o) Message From: Danielle (in memory of Tony DeBiasi) February 10, 2015 Today my brother, Tony "T" DeBiasi would have turned 36 years old. He was suddenly, tragically ripped from our lives this past October 2014. Today I honored and celebrated his life by donating to Last Day Dog Rescue in his memory (and his pit bull Moose's too!). He was a HUGE animal lover and he would have respected and appreciated the work that you all do, just as I do. Keep up the great work LDDR; you make such a difference to these beautiful fur babies. Happy Birthday Tony... I love you and I miss you every day. Message From: Michele December 30, 2014 Just wanted to update on our adoption from April 2011. Sierra is still apart of our family. She is an amazing dog. We have never once had a problem with her adjusting and even now she is still a love bug. We are currently looking to give her a fur brother and were currently looking at Last Day. Hopefully we find another amazing match! Message From: Jessica September 5, 2014 I adopted Basil about one month ago and have since renamed her JJ. She is a great puppy and I am so happy to have her in my family. She is doing very well in her obedience class and my vet says she's perfectly healthy. She loves to play outside and visit her uncles, Tito and Bruiser (my friend's Boxers). She's wonderful! Message From: stephanie July 13, 2014 Toby (Humphrey Bogart) Update We have had Toby 6 months and he is a wonderful boy. I just had a family get together and there were 5 dogs and Toby got a long with all of them and several family members were wanting to take my baby No Way step away from the Toby. Doggie obedience really helped he really was the best behaved, loving all the new people, and he couldn't understand why the other dogs barked at people, or the cats. He shared his chewy, and bed with all his new friends. I am so happy we have Toby. Thank you Last day dog rescue and all of your team who take in the puppies and dogs and find homes for them. Message From: Kristen July 11, 2014 I adopted my precious kitten, Lulu, June 6th. She has the cutest personality ever! I love coming home each day to such a wonderful and playful kitten. Her foster mom was wonderful, too! Thank you so much Last Day for the best addition to my life :) Message From: Jones Family June 3, 2014 We adopted Cynder. Everyone who meets her falls in love with her! We are over the moon with her and feel she completes our family. She loves playing in the yard with the kids and chasing little wild critters. We feel lucky to have her in our family and can not believe she was in a foster home for so long! She is so well behaved & we thank Denise & Chuck for getting her ready for us! Message From: Kathy May 18, 2014 We just adopted Petey, and we couldn't be happier! We have only had him 2 days, and it's like he has been with us his whole life. He is a wonderful boy and gets along great with our other dog. We couldn't be happier! Message From: Tisha April 10, 2014 I brought Bailey home on Feb 19th. He is a joy! We are working on obedience and swimming for exercise! He's a senior GSP and I am in love! Thank you LDDR for rescuing him. P.S. I've promised him a girlfriend, so I'll continue to browse the website. Message From: Lisa March 28, 2014 I have been contacting LLDR via e-mail and I really was hoping to set something up to see Sailor Moon. Please contact me back. I think my husband and I would make wonderful owners/parents for her. Message From: Sandra February 25, 2014 Anxiously awaiting news regarding adopting Abby Message From: Stephanie January 18, 2014 We adopted Humphrey Bogart, but we have changed his name to Toby. He is so much fun he likes to play fetch outside and inside and chewy toys scatter the room. He is housebreaking very easily. And he is a smart little guy which won't be true very long he is growing so fast. We have our appointment for his next shots and I went to check out the place that does spay and neutering. I am very happy we have Toby he has livened up our lives. Message From: Vicki G: January 16, 2014 We adopted our little Oreo (formerly Michael) on December 21. He's growing so fast, we've taken to calling him Double Stuff. He has an ideal disposition. Great with our kids and really good about every other dog he's been introduced to. He is being wonderfully spoiled as all our neighbors have fallen in love and offered to play with him and walk him on the days I'm at work. He has three different walkers and loves them all! Thank you LLDR for all you do for these animals. Oreo may not be the same happy, people loving puppy if he hadn't spent his first eight weeks in a warm, loving environment. Message From: Stacy B. January 9, 2014 We adopted Comet, now Cooper, three weeks ago. In that short amount of time he has stolen our hearts. He is the perfect addition to our family and we can not thank you enough for bringing him into our lives. Message From: Melinda Madrigal December 19, 2013 Hello. I adopted my good boy simba at the beginning of December. He is now 11 weeks old and fitting in just great with the family : ) I have a 6yr. Old daughter he adores and my 16mth. Old baby girl as well. I want to thank you for ALL you do!!! Simba is a pit bull mix and I'm so happy that u helped him along with his mother and siblings!! This breed gets tagged with the wrong name and I'm here to prove society wrong! Thanks again! Message From: Karen B December 9, 2013 We are anxiously awaiting to see if we are the reason why Vixie Vixan is pending adoption! Message From: Tiffany October 30, 2013 Hi! I just wanted to say Thank You to all the amazing volunteers at LDDR. We adopted "Tad" a black lab/great Dane now named Tucker on Oct 19th and we can't thank everyone enough for bringing us together. He is just so amazing. We love him so much!! Thanks LDDR for taking such great care of him!!! Message From: Lynette Keyes October 20, 2013 We adopted Rocket from LDDR in July. He was 3 months old when we got him. He was believed to be a poodle/dachshund mix, but now as he stands and comes up to our knees, we think the dachshund part is unlikely! We think he is a springer spaniel/ poodle mix. Whatever mix he is, we love him just the same. He keeps us laughing and our family feels complete now. Everyone should rescue an animal! He is perfect :) Message From: Emily October 20, 2013 We adopted a basenji mix named Oliver, about 3 months ago. We absolutely love him! He's such a good dog! Thank you LDDR for doing what you do(: Message From: Ann Cluck September 16, 2013 I am an advocate for total no-kill! I post animals on facebook that are facing death. I hold fundraisers for shelters/rescues. Bless you for what you do!! Message From: Daleanne September 13, 2013 We are anxiously awaiting the news if a certain beautiful doggie can join our family. Keeping our fingers crossed. Message From: Dianne September 2, 2013 I volunteered with LDDR starting in August 2011 in hopes of finding another furever friend through fostering. What a wonderful surprise when I picked up Chase and his mommy Cassidy from the transport truck late on a Thursday night. They were filthy and covered in fleas and tics and starving. Chase took well to my other dog very well and at 4 months old he was so darn cute. He became the newest love of my life. But I couldn't stop there because I had seen how many were still in need so I continue to foster and meet some of the sweetest little neglected and broken little angels alive and help them get into their new homes. It is so awesome to watch their transformations! Thank you LDDR for allowing me to continue with this wonderful group. Message From: marge August 29, 2013 waiting to hear of my posible adoption of Princess |
