THIS IS A COURTESEY POSTING FOR THE CONCERNED CITIZENS FOR LIVINGSTON COUNTY'S HOMELESS PETS Join Concerned Citizens for Livingston County's Homeless Pets (CCLCHP) for an afternoon of family fun and food at our benefit bowl-a-thon. Sunday, November 15, 2009 12:30pm -- 4:00 pm $20 per person OR $50 for family of 2 adults and 2 children -- $5 each addition bowler. INCLUDES: 2 games of bowling - shoes - large pizza per lane Raffles, Bake Sale, Avon Products for sale and MORE. Visit the Michigan Pet Fund Alliance (MPFA) to learn more about organizations working to make Michigan a 'no kill' state. *********************** *********************** The Concerned Citizens for Livingston County’s Homeless Pets (CCLCHP) is a group of citizens working to save healthy and treatable pets at Livingston County Animal Control. Their first goal is to have the Board of Commissioners repeal a current policy that gives all animals that enter the shelter a death sentence on day 14. Since the goals and activities of CCLCHP are consistent with the Michigan Pet Fund Alliance (MPFA), a statewide 501 (c)(3) charitable organization working to make Michigan a “no-kill” state, MPFA is acting as a fiscal fiduciary for CCLCHP. CCLCHP is fund raising for several efforts including: • Duplicating of materials and associated costs for educational and public awareness • Medical supplies and treatment for animals removed from the shelter • Funding to pay adoption fees to remove dogs and cats just prior to their euthanasia date. Services and/or contributions that are made to assist CCLCHP are eligible for IRS charitable contributions. In order to be eligible, it is necessary that you supply your name, address and amount of the contribution or value to the CCLCHP representative listed below on this letter. At the end of the year you will receive a letter from the Michigan Pet Fund Alliance documenting your contribution for tax purposes. If you have any questions, please feel free to verify this letter with the Michigan Pet Fund Alliance at 877-FUR-PALS. CCLCHP is represented by: Cyndi Beauchamp, Jane Bilot, Adrien Chandler, Jennifer Lajza, and Darice Weber. Make all checks out to the Michigan Pet Fund Alliance and in the memo portion of the check indicate that it is for Concern Citizens for Livingston County Homeless Pets.

Last Day Dog Rescue is teaming with the Social Philanthropists Foundation and Oakland County Parks & Recreation to host our first ever Last Day Dog Rescue Adopter Reunion! The reunion and adoption event will take place between NOON-5PM at the Red Oaks Water Park. We invite those who have adopted from us in the past to reconnect with their former foster families! We will also have many of our current foster dogs in attendance, so if you are an interested adopter, feel free to stop by and meet the adoptable dogs! A daypass at Red Oaks is $5, and seasonal passes are available for $30. During this special day dogs are welcome in the three doggy parks (including a recently added dog park that opened Summer 2010!) as well as in the water park!
