Description:

I'm a sweet, very timid Beagle who has been an excellent mother!  I took care of my own Beagle pups, then adopted 3 other babies from another mother and nursed them until they could be adopted.

I love to go outside and smell, smell, smell all day. I am super smart, too!  My foster mom can't believe how smart I am.  I am friendly toward children and other dogs, but I can be very shy and I take a while to warm up until I can trust that you won't hurt me. I don't like a lot of sudden movement or loud noises because it scares me.  I am very quiet and hardly ever bark!

I loved to play with my pups, but I was scared of my foster brother dog because he was bigger than me, and I would just shy away when he tried to play. When I feel safe, I LOVE to snuggle on the couch and get my belly rubbed.  I also loved to sit inside my foster mom's office and just hang out.  I love attention, but it takes a while for me to relax enough to show my true personality.

I would love a forever home where I could feel safe.  I would do well in a home where I could explore the outside and sniff all day. I'm so smart, I get kind of stir crazy when I have to stay inside all day. I'm good at going potty outside when you take me out, but I'm not good at telling you when I need to go.  No one knows exactly how old I am, but I still like to chew on things when I'm bored.

Please help me feel loved and learn to trust my human friends again.  My personality is so warm and soulful, I have so much potential to be loyal friend.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption.  AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification.  The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted.  If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip.  Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times.  Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do o ur best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
