Description:

Hi! I'm Darwin. I like rope toys, rawhide, and short walks on the grass. I'm great on a leash, house-trained, and quite handsome (if I may say so myself). I'm fine around other dogs, though they don't impress me much. I really love cats and they love me, too, because I know how to be gentle and patient with them.

My nickname is ScootNoodle because when I get excited or nervous or want to play, I drop to my belly and scoot all around using my back feet as propellers. It's really fun and I don't even mind that everyone laughs at me about it! I also enjoy prancing around like a show pony, head and tail held high. I know how to trot and gallop like a horse, too.

I'm super mellow and love to nap. I don't do any jumping or nuisance barking, though I will bark a few times to let you know when someone is coming to the door. If you are looking for a sweet, calm, and reliable companion then I am just the guy for you!

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs/cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the dog's/cat’s shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog/cat is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs and cats MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs and cats back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog or cat.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs and cats. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
