Description:

Thanks for stopping by! I’m Josh. I’m a little over ten years old but you would never know that by the way I like to bounce around.  I used to live in Texas where I was rescued and brought to Michigan.

I am always dying to introduce myself but I get scared of new people or loud noises because.  You see, I get anxious easily.  I just prefer to say hello my own terms.  Don't worry!  That doesn't take very long. I haven’t met a person I don’t like.  I’ll show you how much I love you by jumping into your lap and burying my face under your arm so you can pet me.  Let me snuggle with you under a blanket and you will be my bestest friend.

I love to hibernate in my safe space.  Sometimes when it’s invaded I get nervous put up my defenses.  Like the song goes, if you need me, call me!  I know my name well and will come running as fast I can.  Or you can just take my leash.  I am happy to go an an adventure with you, though am still learning leash manners in my old age.  You CAN teach an old dog new tricks.

While I have lived with cats and dogs, I would prefer a slow introduction.  I get along pretty well with my sister cat, but I still like to keep her on her toes every so often.

All I want is to be a couch potato in a lap to call my own.  Do you have room on your big comfy couch for little old me?

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs/cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the dog's/cat’s shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog/cat is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs and cats MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs and cats back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog or cat.

The  petfinder.com  system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs and cats. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
