Hello there!
My name is Jonah and I am a handsome little guy! I am only 15 pounds, probably a Jack Russell mix and am the sweetest little guy. I am looking for a forever home of my own so let me tell you a little bit about myself so we can see if that home might be with you!

I was rescued from Ohio, I am so glad to have a second chance! I somehow managed to end up at the pound, but Last Day Dog Rescue saw me and my awesome foster mom and dad decided to pull me into care. My rescue friends think that I may not have always been treated too kindly by humans… you see… I am a little bit fearful. But don't let that put you off! I don't have a mean bone in my body. I warm up to people really quickly and love every single person that I meet. I just love to cuddle.

If you are looking for a small dog that likes to cuddle, I'm your boy! I get along great with other dogs, big or small. I like to follow them around. I also found out that I like cats too. I don't bother them at all. Even when they run, I'm not interested in chasing them so they seem to like me back. Kids are another story. While I am a super gentle boy and we don't think I would hurt a fly, because kids move so fast and make so much noise, I think I would do best without them in the home so that I can relax and not have to be fearful. 

I love to go outside and sniff around but I also love sitting inside on the couch with my humans and watching TV. As long as people are around, I am happy! I would love someone that will spoil me every day. My rescue family says that I deserve that! I am pretty much house trained. I know that I should go potty outside and I do. But I haven't been neutered just yet (but I will be soon and definitely before being adopted) so I'm sure I will be house trained by the time I go to my new home. With verbal corrections, I quickly remember not to lift my leg. And I know number twos are definitely only for outdoors.

I am crate trained but would also probably be fine being left out. I have yet to rip anything up that I shouldn't.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog .

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
