Description:
Hi Everyone,
My name was changed to Ghost from Whip.
I am a Bull Terrier (like the Target Dog) mix, possibly Jack Russell or some type of Pointer.
When I see a bunny or squirrel out on a walk I get excited and point- then I whine to go get it.
Even though I want to chase squirrels, I do very well with my foster mom’s many cats. Cats will sometimes play with me and I LOVE to play with other animals.
I have two other dogs and a bunch of kittens in the house to play with but my foster mom said the senior dogs don’t want to play too much which makes me sad.
When we have human company over I am very gentle in taking treats so my foster mom thinks I used to live with a family but somehow they lost me and I was a stray.
I don’t know much about toys but I am learning it is ok to chew them and toss them around.
Some nights I sleep in bed with my foster mom and fur sisters –awesome feeling like part of a family again.
Ghost would do better in a home with another dog as he loves to play with his fur friends.
He is house broken, although he has been watching the cats so he is “aiming” his potty into the litter box.
Ghost is smart and watches everything around him but we are still working on basic commands and coming when called. He being crate trained now but does better free roaming- Ghost does not bother the garbage nor gets into anything he shouldn’t.
Ghost is currently going through Heartworm treatment and will be healthy, adoption ready around Mid Oct.
If you think Ghost would be the perfect addition to your family please fill out an application for him today.
Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.Other Pictures of Ghost - ADOPTED-11.18.15 (click to see larger version):
