Description:

Hi! Allow me to introduce myself.  I am Gizmo, the rescue group had to add Giddy to my name, to tell me apart from all the other Gizzies out there.  I am the REAL deal.

I am a very Happy, Healthy, Friendly 4 yr old Maltese. Unfortunately, my owner moved where they could not take me.  Now I am on an adventure to find my new forever home. First stop, my foster family.

I have been an only dog, used to having the run of the house. I enjoy people watching from our windows.  Recently, I have learned about crates, and do ok in one, for a moderate amount of time. When my foster mom is home, she leaves mine open in the kitchen, and often she finds me in there hanging out on my own while she is busy doing mom stuff. Usually I have taken one of my toys with me.

I have not been raised around children, but think I might like them if they are old and mature enough to treat me with respect. I have been meeting a lot of dogs, all sizes and breeds. I prefer the more laid back ones, that are not to noisy, or pushy.  Getting along well with my Shish-Tzu foster sister.  They introduced me to two cats, I did not show much interest in either of them so I am not cat aggressive.

I am full of love and willing to spend as much time on you lap and share the furniture with you as you would like me to.  I also like to be playful and will play ball with you out in the yard.  If you are a thoughtful, considerate family willing to give me a forever home, come check me out.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.
The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
