Description:

Herbie is a WONDERFUL dog ! He hasn't met a human or a dog that he doesn't like. He has lots of love to give. Herbie is a medium energy dog. He has low energy in the house and doesn't mind cuddling on the couch to watch a movie with his humans. He LOVES the outdoors and likes being outside going for walks, and running in the backyard. Herbie is not house trained at this time, we are working on him going to the potty only outside. He needs a loving family that is able to work with him, understand him and be patient with him. He responds well to food and treats and gets skittish around loud noises. Herbie needs a fenced in yard to run and play in so he can release energy and roll in the grass. he gets frightened with loud noises from everything from a garbage truck to a thunderstorm, that an invisible fence would not restrain him.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. OVisual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
