Description:
My name is Ace. My foster mom says I'm her perfect, handsome boy and I know she's right! I'm a pretty laid back guy who enjoys being with people. I LOVE attention, especially having my ears rubbed. I will offer you my paw as many times as you will shake it. I don't live with any kids right now but I get excited when I see them at the playground we walk past. I am so very gently when they come up to pet me. I enjoy playing and running and then when it's time to settle down and relax I like to lay down on the floor right next to my people. And I'm a quiet boy. My foster family has never heard me bark!
If you are looking for a friend to take long walks with I'm your guy! I walk wonderfully on a leash. I don't pull at all. I know how to sit and I'm working on a few other commands. I'm very interested in watching the cat in my foster home but I know that I'm not supposed to chase him. I learned that right away and now I don't even try! I love other dogs and would really like it if my new home had one to be my friend. But if not, I guess I can handle getting all the attention myself!
I've been through several changes lately, so I am a little cautious around new things. I'm getting much braver though, I just needed a little time to adjust. I like to wander and explore, so my foster mom thinks I really need a fenced yard to play in. Sometimes the outside smells are just so interesting I don't pay attention to where I am wandering.
I'm ready to find my new family now. Do I sound like I would fit into yours??
Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.
The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
