Description:
Maloy, who his fosters call him Jäger, is an exceptional dog! He  is very sweet and playful.  Maloy/Jäger is new to LDDR and was found as a stray by the shelter. He loves people and other dogs, very submissive most of the time, and his foster mom swears he has to be part kangaroo as he hops straight up in the air when he gets excited or wants to play! When he has to go in his crate he will sit quietly (but it has to be a sturdy crate as he is smart enough to get out of them when you're not paying attention), however he does great left alone out in the house. He is playful and has a little energy but he settles down immediately when you tell him that the game is over. Wrestling and playing tug-o-war with his humans are his favorite games. His energy level adjusts to the different dogs he plays with, good with seniors and young puppies, as well as small dogs. Maloy even likes to play with kitties, who share the same feelings :). In large groups, he can get a little too excited and confused when some dogs don't want to be body-slammed at full speed, so he would do best with only a few dogs so he can stay calm. He doesn't shred toys, loves bones and playing fetch, knows how to sit and is very cuddly all the time! His big smiling face is always waiting for kisses, and he can't wait to find his forever home!

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.
The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
