Description:
My name is Charlotte. I am an 18 month old pitty mix. I can't hear, and I only have one eye, but that doesn't slow me down at all. I love playing with other dogs, big and small. I also love cuddling with my humans. I know hand signals for sit, come, and go in my cage. I am crate trained, but at night I much prefer to sleep with my humans. I am little and don’t take up much space. If I get bored I may chew on things like socks and toys, and had to have surgery to remove something I wasn’t supposed to eat. Because of this I would not be a good fit for a home with little kids. But I can easily be distracted with a nice hard bone. I lost my eye to glaucoma when I was younger, so my other eye needs to be monitored regularly. I am much more comfortable with other dogs in the house, so brothers and sisters would be great! I am usually a very quiet dog, I almost never bark. But I do start singing when I’m left alone in my cage. I don’t sing as much if my dog friends are in my sight. I could use some help learning how to walk nicely on a leash, but I am a fast learner and I love treats! If you love cuddles, and kisses, and adorable head tilts, I may be the dog for you! Applicants that are willing to enroll their puppy in obedience classes will receive preference Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for a ny reason you can't keep your adopted dog. The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption.
