Description:
Hello my name is Zeke! I am a purebred Weimaraner and was purchased from a breeder when I was a little puppy. I'm 8 years old now and am looking for a new home through no fault of my own. My owners didn't feel I was getting the attention I needed because I had three human siblings plus my previous owners had to work too and were moving to a new home. So here I am, looking for a new home.

I am a very good boy. I LOVE kids, they are just awesome. I am a very sweet and gentle boy. I am also very good with other dogs, big and small.

If you don't know much about my breed, please research a bit about me before deciding you want to take me home. I am a Weimaraner, we are bred to hunt. While I am not currently a hunter, our breed has a lot of energy. I like to be exercised, we will need to go for daily walks. If you can take me to parks where I can run, that would be really awesome too! We could go on lots of adventures together. Once I have had a walk for the day, I do settle down really nicely. I'm not a puppy anymore, after all! That doesn't mean I don't still have a ton of love to give though. I have many years left in me and really want a chance. Please don't overlook me because I'm 8 years old.

I am up to date on all of my vaccines and I am neutered too! I am also house trained of course, I've had that down for years! I know all the basic commands and am a good listener. Like most dogs of my breed, I LOVE to play fetch with tennis balls. If you will play with me, I will be your best friend for life! I like to chew on rawhides and am not destructive at all. I am a very loyal dog, I love to give affection to my humans and I'm still playful! Everyone says that I am a fantastic dog and I have no behavioral issues. So if you think that I sound like the dog for you, please consider contacting the rescue and they would be more than happy to talk to you. You can also fill out an application and we can set up a time for you to come and meet me. I really hope to meet you soon and find my forever home!

Love,
Zeke

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.
The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
