Description:
Hello! My name is Cassie. I am a Rottweiler mix. I do not know exactly how old I am as I am only as old as I feel today. However, my best guess would be around 10 or 12 years old, human years of course. It is a little hard for me to get around right now as I broke my leg in a few different places when I was living out on the streets. I am still a very happy girl and every morning when I get up, I wag my little tail when I see my foster mommy and daddy. They take me outside on a leash and I keep up with them pretty good although I do need some help getting down the stairs so they just pick me up. Once I'm clear of the stairs I do my business and walk around to get some fresh air. After that we go inside and I'm so excited because my favorite part is next...food! I love to eat! Canned food is my favorite because it is easier for me to eat as I am missing some back teeth, I do enjoy eating a little bit of kibble though too. I am not too interested in toys right now I mostly just like to be by my foster parents and be pet an loved on. I also love looking out the window! I still like to bark at the squirrels and people that go by my house. I am looking forward to getting surgery on my leg soon and continuing the final process of healing so I can run and play again! Although I have some gray on my muzzle and my eyes are cloudy from all the years I've seen I do believe I am in my golden years and I definitely have more life to live!
Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog. The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption.
