Description:
Hi my name is Gus! I'm a Bichon/Yorkie mix so I'm a really small boy! I lost my home because of some family problems, my daddy really loved me but unfortunately some things happened so he found me a great rescue so that I can find a great new home. I'm in a foster home in East Lansing. I know everything is going to be ok.

My foster parents said that I am really adorable, they say the pictures really don't do me justice and I think I have to agree! I'll be getting some grooming done soon so I'll be even cuter!

I am not 100% potty trained yet because I am only a puppy, but I do stand at the back door when I have to go out. So if you can read my signs, I'm pretty good! I am crate trained as well, but when you leave the house I do cry for a little while. However, I quiet down nicely. My fosters said that I'm a really good boy because I follow them everywhere. So they know I'm not getting up to mischief because I am right behind them! I like to sit on laps, I really am a lap dog, so if you are looking for a cuddle bug, you should pick me.

I am just a puppy like I said, so I need a little training. I can be a little mouthy, I just like to put hands in my mouth but I don't bite. My foster parents are teaching me this isn't the best thing to do.  Also sometimes I like to think that I am a really big dog, I like to protect my people so if someone is at the door or in the house, I will let you know. I used to live in a home with children and they said I was great. But I think I would do better in a home with older children or young children would be alright as long as they don't pull my hair and stuff.

I don't shed, so that means you will need to take me to get haircuts and some brushing would be nice to keep my coat looking good! I get along great with the dogs in my foster home and I am pretty good with the cats. I like to chase them when they run, they don't really like that but if they turn around to get me, I stop! I like to play with toys as well and I'll go to my new home with a few of my favorite toys! I LOVE to play fetch too!

So what do you think? Do you want to come meet me? I want to meet you! Please consider contacting my foster mom at kelli.grazi@yahoo.com if you want to learn more about me.

Love,
Gus

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
