Description:
Hi and thank you for looking at my Bio and pictures.  My name is Contessa and I am a Lab-Hound-Bird Dog Mix, I am a little girl weighing in around 30 pounds. I am just recovering my figure after having 6 puppies, all of my wee lads and lasses are all in loving homes thanks to my Foster Mom. I have been spayed so no more puppies for me:-))

I am crate trained, house trained, LOVE going for walks, oh I walk like a lady when on a leash.  I was very very skinny when I got to my Foster Mom but have filled out nicely.  My Foster Mom wanted me to tell you that the picture of me dancing on my hind legs is her favorite :-))

I have a big backyard to run and play in with all my new friends. Did I tell you I like other dogs, cats and children, what is not to like about children?! At least the 2 I live with, they give belly rubs, now that my stiches from being spayed are out, and give me treats.

So round up your children and come on over for a visit and maybe I can become a family member of yours:-)

Sincerely,
Contessa

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
