Description:
Hi! I just to introduce myself to you, my name is Hamish and I am a Purebred Black Great Dane. I was lucky and did not have my ears cropped when I was a baby so my ears are the way God intended them to be:-)

My former owner died and his family did not want a big dog but my new Foster Mom loves big dogs and I certainly fit the bill:-)  When I get regular meals that are good for me I will not be so skinny but weigh in right now @ about 100 pounds.  I have long beautiful legs and have a shinny black coat.  I have discovered that I really like children, the 13 year old boy that I live with gives the best ear rubs.  I like other dogs, cats and whatever else wanders by.  I am crate trained and leash trained, my "Mom" and I went for a walk this morning, that was grand.  I have had no accidents in the house or in my crate and know to do my business out in the backyard like a good boy.

So if you are into a really cool looking Great Dane that is coal black with just a touch of white on the tips of my toes, and some white on my chest, then I am your dog. Come on over so we can meet, I now live in West Bloomfield.

See you soon,
Hamish

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
