Description:
Hello! My name is Helios, I am new to LDDR and right now I don't look my best. I am a bit underweight and need to be groomed, but will be in tip top shape soon. I have one brown eye and one brown/blue eye. I am an owner surrender. My family had to move out of state and couldn't take me with them. I am sad because I have been with them since I was 10 weeks old. They asked a rescue friend if they could help find me another family that could care for me and love me forever. I'm great with kids and all kinds of other dogs. I had a shitzu for a sibling. I even like cats and will cuddle up right next to them! I am crate trained, but not yet housebroken. I have lived outdoors for most of my life so my new foster mom is teaching me all the rules of being indoors :) I enjoy going for runs. I would get so excited every time I saw my family get on their bikes because I knew I was going for a run. I am a well behaved boy and would make a very loyal companion.

If adopted, I will reward YOU with a lifetime of happiness. (Please note that I will need an experienced dog owner that is familiar with my breed and has a secure fully fenced yard.)

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
