Description:

Dannie is a cute little guy that still has the puppy-like personality. He will run around the house like crazy then fall asleep in your lap. For a small dog he has no problem jumping into your lap to give you kisses. He likes bones, toys he can shake, and playing with our playful dogs. Dannie’s play buddy right now is a 75 lb dog that is good with pups.

Dannie is almost housebroken, he whines to go outside. Sometimes he gets to playing and forgets, but not very often. We are crate training him, which he is not thrilled about. He does not go “potty” in his crate, he doesn’t like the confinement like most pups. He gets better about this everyday. He objects by loudly complaining for a few minutes (which would bother apartment neighbors) then he settles down. He is good about sleeping all night if you give him a bedtime snack, pick up the water 2 hrs before bedtime, and make sure he “goes” before bed.

Dannie knows sit, sit-up, and wait (so he doesn’t rush an open door). He would love a fenced yard to burn off his energy and sniff around in. He would do best with a family who is around most of the day (to avoid long hours in a crate), who would continue to teach him good manners, and who wouldn’t mind snuggles and kisses.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
