Description:
Tilly is the sweetest dog I have ever fostered.  The minute she looks at you with those brown sole full eyes you’ll be in love. She is quiet, gentle and extremely well behaved.  While I am home she is free in the house and does not have accidents or damage anything.  When I leave she goes in the crate and seems to accept it.  I work for 9 hours but come home for lunch and let her out.  At night she sleeps on the floor at the end of the bed with out a crate or leash.

You hardly know she is there she spends most of her time on her spot on the sofa and every now and then comes up to you an gently touches you with her paw letting you know she would like to be petted.  She also loves belly rubs.  When you mention going out she gets excited and joyfully runs around the yard.  I do believe she would be good for first time pet owners because of her relaxed nature.  And I think she would be OK without Lucy Lyn whom we were told she was bonded with.  She gets along and sometimes plays with my older, slightly larger black lab and tolerates my bossy Jack Russell foster.  Although I don’t think she would care for an in your face dog.

I don’t think she has ever had many toys or chew toys or walks because she does not know what to do with them and is some what confused by the leash.  I hope to teach her to walk better now that the weather is warmer.  She does not pull too much on the leash but does zig zag in front of you and can use some training.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
