Lilu is a very sweet little girl who loves her people & would like nothing better than to spend the day in your lap or snuggled up close. She is good with other dogs of all sizes & has been staying in a home with 3 large dogs. She's a very smart girl, she will sit, give paw, just learned to sit pretty, & comes running when called. She takes treats nicely & waits her turn patiently. Lilu previously lived in an apartment, where she had to go for a walk every time she needed to potty, so she does fairly well on a leash. She gets excited to get out at first & pulls, but calms down. Her previous owner has joint pain & was no longer able to take her out for her walks to potty. 

Lilu previously lived with cats just fine. She isn't really interested in small children. She would do best in a household with older children, or none at all. She's a very mellow girl & likes to just lay on the couch, snuggled up to her person. She cuddles close in bed & likes to sleep with her head on your shoulder. Lilu likes to play with other dogs, and loves to chase the laser light. As soon as you say 'Laser', she is at attention & waiting to pounce on the red dot! She would do best in a home where she a pampered baby & maybe has at least one other dog to play with. She is a total love bug & doesn't like to let her person out of her sight. She does fine when left free in the home alone, but will panic in a crate & struggle to get out & could hurt herself. Maybe a bit claustrophobic? But when loose in the house, she does well & doesn't tear anything up. Occasionally she goes for the bathroom trash can. She's only been left home alone for shorter lengths of time, maybe 4 hours, so it is not known if she would panic if left alone for 8+ hours a day. 

Lilu's best fit may be someone who works from home, or is retired, and wants to pamper & spoil her rotten. If there are other dogs in the home that are calm & just like to sleep while mom & dad are away, Lilu would follow suit & would be content to cuddle up to the other dog. 

If you want a cute little 4-legged shadow who will follow you anywhere & loves to snuggle, Lilu is your girl!

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
