Description:
Hello I’m Franklin and I was born on November 4, 2013. My mommy was rescued just after she got pregnant with us so we were in good hands from the beginning. Once the rescue found out my mommy was pregnant, they transferred her to my current foster mom as she was working from home and could keep a close eye on us. My foster mom was with my mommy from the first one born until the last—over 13 hours of labor. I have 12 siblings. That’s right there are 13 of us pups, plus my mom, and my dog foster-sister. We have a full house! I love to play with my brothers and sisters. We are just learning how to play together and love to run and tumble with each other. I have also just discovered TOYS! Right now my favorite toy is a ring unlike my siblings who like the plastic cups, the blue elephant, or the stuffed skunk. I also like to play with my dog foster-sister. She is still trying to figure us out and I know I can make her jump by touching her legs. This week she let us give her kisses on her face and chew on her ears. My foster mom is using the “Misty Method” of paper training us. I am learning that there is a place to go potty, a place to sleep, and a place to play. My foster mom says this will help us in our forever homes because it makes it easier to potty train us. I will be ready to go to my forever home on January 1, 2014. My foster mom will be holding a meet-and-greet for adopters who have been preapproved, so please get your applications in quickly. Preference will be given to those adopters who commit to taking me to training classes. I’m ready for my very own lap to cuddle in. My foster mom’s lap is big and we like to cuddle with her but I have to share it with 12 others. I would very much like my own forever home, lap to cuddle in, and forever humans to share my kisses and play with.
The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.
