Description:

Kaylee is around 2 years old and she’s the mom to Jayne, Inara, and River. Her 4th pup, Malcolm, sadly passed away. She was so scared and timid when she was first rescued, but we can't blame her.  She'd been left in a backyard to fend for herself and her pups when her owners abandoned their home.  She seems familiar with household life, so it must have been terrifying to be just left with pups to care for and winter coming.  It was days after her rescue before she wagged her tail even the least bit.  But she's a smart little girl and once she realized that she and the pups were now safe, she relaxed into a gentle little lady with a bright, attentive gaze.  She wants to be with her people but pays careful attention, trying to anticipate their moves so she can stay close but out of the way.  Kaylee gets along great with  the other 5 dogs in her foster home, she ignores the cat and birds completely and is fully housetrained.  She's a bright, adoring little girl who is just coming into her own.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
