Description:

This is sweet Heidi. She is a 10 to 11 year old yellow lab mix with the prettiest light blue eyes. Don't let her age discourage you, she still has a lot of love and life to give.  Heidi came from a place where she lived outside all the time, she has now gotten use to coming in and out of the door and has learned how nice it is to sleep on a soft bed.  Heidi LOVES all dogs, she walked right into my house, licked all three of my cranky old dogs and said "Here I am, love me."  My dogs didn't know what to do but they have accepted her with no issue.  Heidi will lower her head when you try to pet her, she needs someone to continue to let her know it is okay to be pet and loved.  Heidi is potty trained, uses her crate all the time- it is her safe place- and loves to lay around with my other dogs. Heidi is good with kids but, as she is a bit older, she may appreciate older kids who will not pull or jump on her.  All around she is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever met- If I had to sum her up in one word it would be Gentle.  If you have any questions please contact me at jdbuczko@wowway.com

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
