Description:
Pedro is approximately 1 year old according to the vet.  Pedro came from a Michigan Shelter that was very full and he needed to move quickly, so Last Day Dog Rescue stepped up for him!  He is neutered and fully vetted, housebroken, crate trained, gets along with other dogs from 8 pounds to 140 pounds!  I would not think he would be good with cats as he would probably chase them and try to get them to play and mostly annoy them at best.  He does play with other dogs and loves the game of chase!  He also is food motivated and learns quickly.  He knows how to sit, stay and come, but it is very difficult for him to sit or stay for any length of time.  I'm sure you have heard the term Poetry in Motion, well, Pedro is a very quick poem!  He is fast and loves to run!  He knows his name and will come when called.  He takes treats gently but will jump up on you to try and get your attention, so he would probably do better with children 7 years old or older.  Pedro has long legs for a Chihuahua, but the groomer who trimmed his nails said he is a typical Mexican Chihuahua in his head shape and size.  Pedro weighs 15.6 lbs and truly loves the hollow bones that you can refill with peanut butter!  He also has a long legged toy that he twirls around, shakes, and then throws it into the air only to chase it again.  Pedro is waiting for a forever family that he can give all of his attention and love to!!  He is a true comic and will fill your life with laughs!!!

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
