Description:

Hello friends!  I’m Atlas, and though I may be a pretty big boy, don’t be fooled because I’m a huge cuddle bug!  As my story goes, I was dumped at a shelter that gasses and the volunteers there loved me, so they begged rescues to come save me... and thankfully LDDR said yes!  As you may be able to tell in some of my pictures, I was not fed properly while at the shelter, so I am still putting on a few pounds, but am already eating better and starting to fill out a bit.  They say I'm a bull mastiff mix of sorts, but it’s hard to say what else is mixed in there, as I never met my dad.  My mom did a good job of raising me though, as I am great with people and love to play with other dogs, but sometimes get to be too much for kitties.  I love to go for walks and humans tell me how good I am when they walk me with a leash, however, I am quite the jumper, and have no problem clearing a typical chain link fence, so will definitely need either a privacy fence, or to be kept on a leash or runner while outside.  I am not a huge fan of being home alone and would appreciate a forever home where I either have a friend to hang out with or am just not left at home for too long by myself.  When around people everyone loves how sweet and calm I am, so there is no doubt I will fit in great with your home and family.  For more details, or to set up a meet & greet, please submit an application for me online.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
