Description:
Hello, My name is Farrah and here I am in my shelter photo. So scared! I heard many volunteers scrambling around, taking my photo saying I only have a day. I don't understand but they were so worried and looked at me so sad. I think it had something to do with me. Then... the next day I am moved and taken somewhere safe and these same nice people have tears in their eyes but are smiling. They say Last Day Dog Rescue has offered to take me in, vet me and find me a great home. Home... I like that word! I have only been living a year and have learned that people can be really nice. I like to be cuddled, be treated kindly and fed. I have lost a little weight and am only 22lbs. I should be around 30 lbs. and hope to grow a little more to a great big size of 35-40 lbs. I am so excited to have a home where I am loved and will never be inside that scary place again. Soon I will have a new photo. My own photo shoot with an awesome photographer. I hope to have my fur done for the occasion. Maybe it will turn out so good, some nice person will enter it in and I can be a calender girl! I know I have lots of dreams... I am so excited! I feel like I won the lottery!
The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.
