Description:
Cheyenne is a beautiful yellow lab who is approximately 4 to 5 years old. She is good on a leash, crate trained, good in a car and good with other dogs! Cheyene loves people and will talk to you when you give her attention! She has had a hard life trying to survive in the Tennessee woods, but took care of herself and her pup, Cherokee! In spite of people trying to hurt her, she is very people friendly! She holds no bad feelings for those who tried to drive her off and refused to give her or her pup food! After she was rescued by a very caring Animal Control person in Tennessee, he discovered she was friendly and wanted companionship of people even after her bad treatment! While she was at the shelter with her pup, Cherokee, she also met Scruffy who played with the two girls! When the shelter became overcrowded, we were contacted to save them from being put to sleep because of lack of space! We were able to save all three of them and they are now on our site. Cheyene is not good with cats but makes up for that by being great with people and other dogs!!! Can you be the one who will give her a safe forever home where she can return your love for years to come?
This is a mom and daughter story. For 4 months various people had tried to catch Cheyenne and her daughter Cherokee (also listed on our site). People were even shooting at them with rat shots and bee bees. They were scared to death to even get close to anyone, much less try to eat food left out for them. None the less, neither mom nor daughter would ever part with each other. They've both had a terrible last 4 months. Thanks to a kind Animal Control Officer whom used patience and many visits daily, mom and daughter came to him. AC's exact words " they have been terrorized". Both are very friendly, daughter has never been on a lead, appears mom has been. Please open your heart and home to them as they so deserve to feel safe and to be loved! *Cheyenne is the mom of the Hi Litter Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix.
