Description:

Cassius is a handsome and awesome companion! He has absolutely perfect manners. He also does great with dogs, cats and kids! Cass truly embodies the definition of "man's best friend". He is not the dog that jumps in your face for affection but rather he is simply quiet and ALWAYS is by your side and is happy if he is comforting you, playing with you, walking or running with you. He is silly and goofy too and of course enjoys belly rubs! He is young and has had a rough time getting a head start in his new life. He sat at Animal Control in a cage for 8 months and the people there loved him so much that they kept pushing his date to be euthanized back until they couldn't any longer and so they asked LDDR if we could please save such a deserving boy! Of course we saved him but their were no open foster homes and so he lived in our kennels for a very long time too! Despite living in a cage or kennel for almost 1 1/2 years, he is exceptional in all manners! It's like he has always had a family because he is so well adjusted and grateful. He has melted our hearts and so we do allow him lots of extra privileges and he never disappoints us :) He does NOT require being crated when left alone and loves a soft comfy bed to sleep in! If you are looking for a dog that has perfect manners, fun, sweet, and is truly deserving of a forever home then look no more because Cassius is definitely the poster boy for a great dog!

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
