Description:

Charlie is an 8 month old pure breed Old English Sheepdog that is full or energy and has lots of love to offer a family. He knows commands and likes to be with you either laying by you while you work at your desk or hanging out in the kitchen while you make dinner. Charlie loves to go for walks.  He is of course a big puppy so preference will be given to families that will take him to obedience class as he needs to learn how to control his body so he doesn’t bump into people. He is friendly with other dogs and gentle with ones that are smaller.  This fun loving guy is crate trained, sleeps in his crate and plays and plays with his toys. Charlie does not like when people are around him when he is eating so he will need to have a family that will work with him to learn his manners as he is smart and can fix this behavior. Ideally, Charlie will be adopted by a family that has the time and energy to keep this lovable guy busy with exercise and play and has time to keep his gorgeous coat of fur taken care of. Lots of work but you will be rewarded by plenty of love as he is sweet and fun.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
