Description:
Haley is a happy girl that offers her tummy with a simple hello hoping to be loved...and better yet offered a forever home where she will be loved, cared for and kept safe her whole life. If you're looking for an unique looking dog this is her! She is around 35lbs and has the coloring of an Australian Shepherd with the black and white speckles on her legs and neck, the face of a collie and the size and shape of a beagle. Haley has a half length tail and a soft coat. She was rescued on her last day from a high kill shelter after being found on her own on a country road, weeks there and no one came to get her. She had someone that once loved her because she craves the attention and touch of humans. She is such a very sweet dog and she just loves people. Her whole body wags along with her tail when someone looks at her or talks to her.  She won't play ball but she will fetch a stuffed toy and if no one throws the toy to her, she throws it in the air herself and catches it and runs around carrying it. She does well in a crate and seems to be housebroken. She is good with other dogs. Haley was thrilled to find dogs at my house (cats too) and she wants to play, play, play--but not with toys or people but with other dogs or cats. She's definitely a dog for herding, lure coursing, or agility! She's like the Energizer bunny!  She loves to run around in my big, fenced yard too. But she is so very, very sweet and loving. There is not one aggressive bone in her body. She would be great to take to the dog park or to have as a jogging partner! If you're looking for a long term love...this sweetie will fill that need!

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.
