Description:
Edith Ann is a happy, beautiful and and very friendly Border Collie mix. Edith Anne has separation anxiety, but minus the separation anxiety...she is the perfect dog in every other way! She is very sweet to all people, including kids, and other dogs. When she greets someone, she gets so excited she wiggles her whole body along with her tail, so she looks like a helicopter about to take off. People just melt when they see that!
Edie is happy to be a couch potato when we're at home, but is also ready to do a long hike if we're active. People always comment on how calm and low key she is when people are around and we can take her to other people's houses without her causing any issues. She's not a bolter and can often be let off leash for walks (unless there are squirrels to chase :)) She especially loves to run off leash in the woods and her speed and beauty while running are stunning to watch. She's very smart and knows several tricks and obedience skills like sit, stay, come, leave it, get it, etc. She always smells good and requires almost no brushing. Handles grooming well (ear cleaning, nail cutting, etc). Edie LOVES to cuddle and get belly rubs, and occasionally gives light kisses but never slobbers. Loves to ride in the passenger seat of the car and does well on walks if using a harness. If we're home, she doesn't bark unless someone comes to the door or into the yard. We live in a noisy city neighborhood, so she ignores most noises. She loves to play and get attention, but she also isn't needy about getting attention as long as someone is in the house with her. She's perfectly happy to go in another room and nap. Could you be the one to offer this great girl her forever home???
Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog. The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption.
