Description:
Hello,
My name is Laverne! Some people may know me as Katniss as well. I was adopted out as a kitten, unfortunately I am looking for a forever home again. I am a BIG girl... my foster mom says that I am almost the size of a Maine Coon cat. If you are looking for a big, friendly, beautiful kitty, look no further!
I am a beautiful girl that enjoys head scratches. I like to play with cat nip toys... or really just cat nip in general is fun! I would love a cat tower in my forever home so I can sit on top of it and watch out the windows as the world goes by! I am a very sweet girl, but I am not an in your face type of cat. I do hang out with humans and enjoy the companionship but I also don't mind just hanging out by myself. Are you someone who works during the day but wants a little friend to come home to? I could be perfect for you! Then I could have the whole work day to myself and then have a human to share the evenings with... sounds like the best of both worlds!
I am spayed and front declawed... I am a fully vetted kitty. I have not always had the best experiences with dogs and puppies, so they make me a little nervous. However, I would be fine being adopted to a home with a dog so long as the dog respects my space, or if there is a space in the house provided to me that I can get to and be away from the dog in the home if I need to. I would be alright with a kitty friend that isn't too interested in me. But I would also be super happy as an only cat. This aspect makes it a bit harder for me to get adopted and I am overlooked because most people want more than just one animal, but I promise that I'll be a good girl!
I would do best in a home with older children or no children. Again, we really feel that I would be the perfect companion for someone who just wants a companion to come home to. I promise to hang out with you, let you cuddle with me, and even let you hold me if you can give me a real forever home.
If you have a quiet home that is looking for a companion, please consider me. I know I have my little quirks with other animals and not being an in your face constantly kind of cat, but we are hopeful that there is a home out there looking for a kitty just like me. They say there is a forever home for all of us, I just hope I don't have to wait too much longer.
Please consider giving me the forever home I deserve. I promise that you won't regret it, I'm such a sweet and lovable girl who just needs a chance. If you have any questions, please feel free to email and ask, or feel free to complete an adoption application to come and meet me in my foster home
Love,
Laverne Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.Other Pictures of K Litter Laverne - ADOPTED 02.04.18 (click to see larger version):
