Mom and pups where dumped at a shelter in Kentucky. and sat there for a couple weeks waiting for adoptions. So few adoptions in the south they got older and time ran out. They were offered a ride with two other sets of litters and made their way to Last Day Dog Rescue. 

Ella and Babs are together in a new foster home where they are being awesome little puppy girls.  They have lots of puppy energy, but are crate trained, keeping their crate clean and sleeping quietly over night. They've had a few accidents in the house, but are getting the hang of going outside.  They're at a prime age to start obedience training and quickly learned that sitting on their bottoms instead of jumping gets them a yummy treat!  Both of them are full of sweetness.  They love all people, and love playing with each other - they really are the best of friends sharing toys and food alike.  In all the hot weather, Ella has decided that wading in the puppy pool is a cool thing, while Babs pretty much settles for just a cool drink.  Babs is a little smaller than Ella, but both girls look like they should be around 40-45 lbs full grown. What a nice size for a dog - not too big, not too small!!

Because they're a "bully breed", we would like a commitment that they will go to obedience class and become awesome ambassadors for how sweet pits and pit mixes really are.  And while it's recommended that all pets get microchipped, it's even more important for a "bully breed", who could be put to sleep if they have a mishap that lands them in some shelters.  A microchip identifying them can get them reunited with their loving family.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.
