Description:
Wheels has arrived from Tennessee after a very long trip. He is a fun loving puppy and is very athletic. He can climb a 4 foot fence better than a squirel, so he will need a privacy fence or other means of keeping him in the yard. He if fully vetted and ready to go to a new home. He loves other dogs and would also like a child or two to play with. He is your typical puppy and wants to be in your lap and get as much petting and love as he can soak up. Once he is tired, he will lay at your feet very contentedly and wait for you to do something exciting. Wheels did get out of my fenced in part of the yard right after arriving, but only wanted to be with me and immediately looked for me so he could follow me around. Wheels will be learning crate training, and some of his commands like sit, down, and off. He seems very smart and I am sure he will learn quickly. If you are interested in doing any agility with him, this boy would be up for it!! So far, the only thing wrong with Wheels is he needs a home, could that be with you? Please apply to meet Wheels, he won't be in the rescue long!!
Update from Wheels' foster:
Wheels has learned how to walk fairly well on a leash, knows sit, and come, has only had one mistake in the house and that was my fault as I did not take him outside on his routine. He loves playing with another foster dog, Sweetie, a pit bull. Has accepted his crate as his room and knows this is where he sleeps at night. I have picked up his dog food bowl while he was eating and have seen no signs of him protecting his food or anything else. He is also learning to fetch and release whatever is thrown for him. This little fellow catches on quickly and is smarter than I initially gave him credit for, he will soon be teaching me!!!
He has only been in my home for two weeks and is already a dream to have around!!!!
Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.Other Pictures of Wheels-PENDING (click to see larger version):
