Description:
Bambi is a very sweet boxer / lab mix who loves people and is always ready for play time and/or cuddle time. She loves running around playing fetch in the yard, goes potty outside every time we let her out, is crate trained and easily sleeps throughout the night, every night (trying to wake her up during a nap can sometimes be pretty funny... she's can be lazier than her foster parents). She's a big fan of car rides, napping, meeting new people, and giving kisses. She is still a young girl, and like most boxers is very high energy and likes to jump up and give you hugs. We are working with her on the jumping but for now we think she might do best in a home without really young children, as she sometimes forgets how big she is! We also know she loved playing with her former brother (a large, huskie mix) but she is a little jealous of her small foster brother (miniature pinscher mix) so she'd prefer a larger dog friend as apposed to smaller dogs or cats in the house. She loves running around outside and is hoping to find a home with a fenced in yard where she can run and let out some energy, but she's very responsive, comes to you (usually!) when called, and is a very good leash walker. She can also sit, shake paw, and is working on 'lay down'. Everybody who meets this girl loves her, and when she find's a family who can handle her energy I garauntee she is going to make them extremely happy. Help us find this beautiful girl a good home! Please contact one of Bambi’s foster parents if you are interested in adopting, have any specific questions or would like to arrange a meet & greet… just expect kisses within minutes of when you first meet her, she’s silly like that! Foster parents: Matt & Kelly - groe6574@yahoo.com Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.Video of Bambi - ADOPTED 10.11.12: Other Pictures of Bambi - ADOPTED 10.11.12 (click to see larger version):
