Description:

Addison found herself at a high kill shelter in Ohio. few dogs let alone Bully Breeds get out. She was such a loving sweet girl the Warden allowed her to live and get out. A foster knowing a black bully breed has little chance of rescue took her in. Certain the perfect person will see her sweet pitty face and fall in love! She loves to cuddle and be close. Enjoys walking and knows a few commands like sit, stay, and lay. To make her happy you simply have to touch her and her and her tail wags and she turns to you with her great big smiling face. Addi understands the word no and looks up with hope as her foster family eats. So we know she lived in a  home with someone that loved her enough to teach her the basics and feed her people food. WE don't know why this lovely lady found made it to death row... Like most of her breed, families are forced by laws, ordinances, landlords and neighbors to turn their bully breeds in. Perhaps she became too strong for them. She does pull when on walks but with a special easy walk collar doing great!

Addison would do best in a home that is experience with a bully breed and does not live in an area with breed specific legislation or where they may pass laws discriminating against these loving, strong, intelligent breeds that humans like to exploit. LDDR prefers to adopt her to someone that plans to take her to training to be a good citizen and welcome guest anywhere she goes. Please don't allow mob mentality lead you to think this girl is anything other then sweet! She is a happy soul wanting nothing more then to steal your heart and lick your hand. If you allow her? she would love to lay beside you while you sleep! Please consider making this beautiful girl your forever friend!

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.
