Description:

Yeti came to me from another rescue who said he was food aggressive and they were about to put him to sleep.  After many trips to the vets office and different medical tests, it was decided to try Yeti on Solid Gold D-Enzymes.  This worked miracles for Yeti as he was then able to digest his food and was no longer food aggressive!! Yeti had very fine thin hair when he first came to us, but with the D-Enzymes and Grizzly Salmon oil, his coat is now lush and full and has gained a really beautiful color.  Yeti came in at 17 pounds, but now weighs 24 pounds.  He is housebroken, crate trained, loves car rides, gets along with various dogs from 8 pounds to 135 pounds.  He is an adventour soul as he is only 2-3 years old and loves to play in the yard or near the pond.  He would do best in a fenced in yard where he could explore freely but not wonder off.  Yeti should be in a home with children 10 years and up would do best with no small children. He is not good with cats. He would benefit with obedience training as Yeti feels he should be in charge when on leash and could use more direction on this.  This would also give him new family the opportunity to bond with him and remind him that you are in charge, not him.

The Solid Gold Enzymes would have to be continued for his lifetime, but only cost $18.00 for a 5-6 month supply as he needs 1/4 teaspoon with each feeding to help him with his digestion.  Yeti has been in my home for 6 months and is a pleasure to have here.  I would keep him, but already have 6 other rescued dogs and Yeti deserves his own family where he could get more attention. He loves everybody, unless you are a cat!!  ;0)

If you are interested in meeting Yeti or knowing more about him, please fill out an application and contact his foster mom, Tereasa, at 810-614-7827

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption.  AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification.  The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted.  If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip.  Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times.  Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
