Update: 3/3/12 Bindi will make the perfect family dog as she is absolutely fabulous with kids! She adores them and loves to play and cuddle with them. She does like to give kisses to them though! She is doing excellent with her socialization and now accepts new people almost immediately. She has never been agressive but was scared of new people when we first got her. Bindi is very loyal and wants to please. She knows how to sit, shake, down and stay and would gladly learn more as she is very food motivated. You can take anything away from Bindi and she will just wag her tail- even food and rawhides. She is very sweet and would love to have a family of her own!
Hi! My name's Bindi and I am a very cute, sweet girl! The vet says I'm 1 year old and I weigh 48 lbs but I do need to gain some weight. I love people but I am a bit fearful of new people sometimes- especially men- so my foster mom is working with me so that I become more brave. My foster dad is a very big scary guy and it only took 5 minutes for me to climb in his lap and give him kisses so I'm no that bad but someone may have been mean to me at one point so it takes a few minutes for me to feel safe. I LOVE all other dogs both male and female and all sizes- I'm quite the social butterfly when it comes to other dogs! I like kitties and I'm not mean to them but do try and play with them at times so if you have a kitty I hope it is used to dogs! I am learning leash manners and doing better and I know how to sit very well but I'm brand new and so I'm told there's much more to learn and I'm very willing to do just that- I'm very smart! I love to go for walks, car rides, I'm crate trained and housebroke too! I'm very good about only playing with my toys and I love to cuddle with people! I've been around children as young as 4 and I did great! I was very good for the vet and other than being underweight she said I'm in perfect health! I would love a family to call my own! If you are interested in adopting me please fill out an application or contact my foster mom Angie at moparangie@comcast.net and she will gladly answer any questions you have about me. Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.Other Pictures of Bindi - ADOPTED 4.11.12 (click to see larger version):
