 Update:

Charlotte is a beautiful soul who wants nothing but to be loved. She's had a hard life, but you couldn't tell from how she is today. Charlotte was found in Highland Park, MI Nov 22, 2011. She was lying on the curb freezing. It had started rainy that day and the temps had dropped. It took 2hrs to convince her to get in my car. It was apparent she was abused and trusted nobody. She was covered with fleas. Heartworm positive. Severly under weight. Half of her hair was gone due to manage and she was pregnant which was not found out until days later just because she was so under weight. Charlotte had no idea what a collar or leash was at that time. Never had dog food or dog treats. All she knew was eating whatever was on the ground and drinking dirty water. Fast foward 8wks, many vet appts and 9 healthy puppies later Charlotte is truely embracing being a dog and everything that comes with it. She's enjoys being around the ones that care for her. Eager to please and learn new things. With her German Shepard nature, shes very loyal and
protective to her love ones.

I am such a playful, loving dog. I am crate trained and house trained. I am still working on telling my humans I have to go out. How exactly does a dog "talk" to their human? I love kids they are so much fun to play with. I get along with all my foster brother and sisters. I listen well if you tell me what I am supposed to do. My coat is so soft, my foster mom loves to just pet me. I am not stingy with my kisses either. I think every human is my very best friend. I am looking for a forever home, my ideal home will have kids to play with. Do you like to run? I wouldn't mind going on a long run with you. I settle in nicely and dont even mind my crate. I am as cute and playful as a puppy but without the chewing, and potty messes. Wont you please consider me for your next forever friend? In return I will give tons of loving and keep your feet warm during cold winter nights.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.

The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label.

Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.
