Description:
Eddie was rescued two days before Christmas as all dogs are put down for the holidays.. he was VERY lucky to get out. Eddie appears to be a shepherd/border collie mix. with a super soft coat and a happy personality. He enjoys playing with his foster siblings and lets the kitties rub all over him. Eddie knows his name, sit, shake, lay and is 100% potty trained, he doesn't love his crate but will go in with a little incentive. He loves to stay at the side of his favorite people and greets them with his whole body!. Eddie is past the puppy stage, not a chewer. He would love to jog or run with you or play ball and run around a yard with kids or another dog. He showed interest in a rabbit was was very gentle and just looked. This guy needs someone to cuddle and snuggle with him, watch tv with him at your side.. or lap! take him for a walk and simply LOVE him. He will love you back his whole life! He has been with LDDR for awhile and has moved through several foster homes and boarding facilities. No fault of his own. Before he was neutered he was not happy with the man of the house. Then another foster just quit fostering him and another dog and he landed in a boarding facility that must of felt like a shelter to him. He became fearful and touchy. He is back in a foster home and getting use to a home environment again. learning to trust all over again! So he will need and extra loving and patient forever someone that will give him time to adjust and trust again. This sweet boy will be a very special part of someones life.. if only given a chance! He's easy to meet in his Northville foster home. Please... fill out an application and set up a meet and greet. To know him is to love him! Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.Other Pictures of Eddie-PENDING (click to see larger version):
