Description:
This lovely lady has had a hard life. She is just a little over a year old and has already had a litter of pups. She was stuck in a shelter in Ohio, spending her days sad with her head down avoiding other dogs and people. With little time and little chance of adoption, her time was up. Shelter staff begged us to take her because they knew how truly sweet she is. The first moment I saw her and talked to her... in a rescue van with many other dogs around.. she wagged her tail and with her head down.. looked at me as if to say did you save me? She is a good girl that doesn't ask for much, a kind voice, a bit of food (as she is only 28 lbs) and a warm place to sleep. She is learning all about life in a house. like treats, toys, cuddling, car rides and other doggie friends that won't hurt her. Her body has many scars on it from what looks like a number of bits from other dogs. She is super submissive and has yet to bark for us. She wimpers when she has to potty. Is amazing to bath and walks great on a lead. This young lady will need a kind family with not too much commotion to live her happy life in. She is full grown and may need to put a couple more pounds on. There will be a time that she will play and be a happy dog again. Right now she needs someone that will give her the time to heal her physical and emotional scars and learn to trust. If you want to help Lady Gwenivere become the lovely lady she was born to be and enjoy having her in your life all of her's Please fill out an application so you can meet her. I promise you will fall in love! Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.Other Pictures of Lady Gwenivere-PENDING (click to see larger version):
