Description:
Dale and his brother Chip narrowly escaped being put down today at a local shelter. This particular shelter uses the cruel heartstick method so we are so glad we were able to get these two babies out . Dale is a fun loving lab/border collie mix. The first thing he did at our house was grab a toy to play with . Like all pups he needs guidance , love, and boundaries so he can grow up to be a fantastic adult pet in your home . We hope he finds his forever home very soon , UPDATE: Meet Dale! A big lap dog. He loves to cuddle and keep you company. He does great with kids of all ages, especially his one year old foster sister. He lets her hug him, kiss him, and doesn't mind laying with her either. He plays with other dogs nicely and also gets along with cats! He is always cleaning and romping with our kitten. Dale walks very nice on a leash and is working on his basic commands. He is also crate trained and at first we cry the first few minutes of going in but has stopped that all together now. He is allowed on the furniture but not the bed and if he is not wanted on the furniture would easily learn considering when he first came to us he was allowed on the bed and learned in a few days that we no longer wanted to the dogs up. He shows no signs of food agression either. While Dale gets along with dogs he is not comfortable in big group settings so is not a dog that would like going to the dog park, he's more of a one on one dog or maybe him and two others. Dale is completly house broken and has never had an accident either. He is a very good boy and just wants to be loved on and he will definantly return the love and loyalty in return. Feel free to contact us for a meet and greet! Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.Other Pictures of Gd Litter-Dale-PENDING (click to see larger version):
