Description:
Update: 7/22/11 Lady Jane is such a mellow and sweet girl . please dont be turned off by her being mixed with an American pit bull terrier. She is a quick learner , she knows sit and down and is working on waiting at the door . She is such a joy to have in her foster home . She is doing very well on house training but is still a puppy . She is so cute when she goes outside to potty she will either go potty or just plop down in the grass and rest . She gets along with all her foster brothers and sisters , cats and absolutely adores children . She will willing give up anything to her humans and takes treats from your hand very nicely . She is very submissive and will gladly give you her belly . All she needs is a verbal correction and she will stop. She has no desire to be away from human while outside either, while on her walks she keeps looking at her human for direction as to where to go next .She will make a wonderful addition to any family , in fact her foster mom highly recommends she go to a home with children as she is so gentle and sweet . Wont you please consider her for your family
Lady Jane Grey was found near a busy road where she ran out from some hedges and ran to one of our volunteers daughter . We were unable to find her owners but it looks like she was not treated kindly anyways , she has scars on her puppy belly and near her eye. Other then that she is simply a beautiful pup with unusual grey/blue fur . We believe her to be a silver lab/terrier mix that color you do not see very often. She is great with dogs and cats both. She has a submissive personality and is very sweet and smart . Lady Jane Grey will make a wonderful family pet and we do not expect it will be too long before someone is lucky enough to adopt her . Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.Other Pictures of Lady Jane Grey - ADOPTED 07.29.11 (click to see larger version):
