Maggie is doing great in her foster home. She loves to play with her foster sisters. She walks great on a leash and without a leash. She goes for walks unleashed and if she gets too far ahead, she comes straight back when called. She is a great girl. She loves to sleep in her crate and does well in there overnight and during the day. She knows how to sit and lie down. She is energetic when outside, but calm when inside. Maggie does not chase cats. She seeks approval and loves to be rewarded and get affection.
She would get along in any family. She loves people of all ages. Maggie would do best with a big yard, as she is pretty active. Please consider Maggie for your next family member. She will be very loyal to you and your family.
Maggie and her brother Max were adopted as pups to a loving couple who decided to train them as therapy dogs for themselves as they were both deaf and needed help and thought these two dog could help them . They trained them theirselves and they know a good bit of sign language. Well sadly both were taken to the local animal control when the landlord advised them either get rid of them or get evicted . Apparently therapy aid dogs have to be trained by professionals to be allowed in the apartments they lived in . Both dogs are a little over weight but are wonderful loving dogs who deserve a permanent home . They are pointer/lab mixes , are housebroke and are fine with other dogs . We will adopt them together with a discount or adopt them separtely . Come meet these special siblings ! Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.
