Description:
Hi my name is Callie I am 5 yrs old, and I came from a hoarder who had 130 dogs what a sad site! I am very shy but I love to be pet, I just need some reassurance from you that I'm not going to be hit on but only loved. I now know I can eat and I will get fed again, not like at the other place I lived. I came with hardly any hair, and had cuts and scabs on my nose and face, those are now healed because my foster mom gave me a bath in some white fluffy stuff and then she put some smelly stuff on my nose, I didn't like it but it worked so my face is pretty again. Most of my hair is back but it is thin, this will take awhile to fully come back but my foster mom says I'm soo precious anyway!. She took me to the vet, and had 3 teeth pulled that were abscessed, got all my shots, and spayed, I wasn't happy about all that either but I got over it. My skin is much better and I am on my way to recovery. I will come out of my shell,my mom says I just need some time and a quiet home preferably with out young children as the loud noises will send me right back into my crate. My mom also says it will take someone as special, as me who has time and patience to adopt me. If you feel you have what I need please fill out an application and lets get me on the road to recovery! and give me the life I was meant to have the life I deserve and in time I will love you unconditionally. one of the requirements for adopting me is that you keep my foster mom updated on my progress as she loves me so much and wishes she could keep me but the home setting is not what is best for me and she knows that. I need a quiet home where there is not dogs coming and going, the commotion of puppies ect.. my foster mom want the best for me and hopes to find someone to love me as much as she does. Are you that special person I'm looking for? Thank you for reading my story Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.Other Pictures of Callie-ADOPTED-3.1.11 (click to see larger version):
