Description:

Lillie is making a lot of progress on her training. She's very flexible and a quick learner and would do great at agility. She ignores the cat. She plays great with children and dogs . She is very loyal. She has great recall when left offlash. She has gotten out of the house twice and came back both times, she got out of her leash once on a walk and came back as well. A very good sign.

She is still scared of some noises, but we are working on socializing her with that. She jumps on new people, but is getting better. She loves attention & enjoys being by people.  Lillie does shed. The adopters have to realize that even though she has short hair she does shed a little. One minute once a week with a hound brush/mitt would take care of it though, and she likes being brushed.  I am not sure what she is mixed with but her hair coat is VERY short (nothing like beagle hair) so even when she sheds you hardly notice!

Lillie is an absolute love bug, oh my goodness does this dog love to cuddle. Seriously, it's adorable. She used to follow me around the house constantly and wouldn't settle down, now she plops herself on my couch or a dog bed and doesn't move, lol.  When we watch tv, she comes up on the couch and cuddles.  If she's not allowed on the couch or the bed she will tend to wander, but if she's with her people, she's good.  She's also a little heater which is great on those cold nights, lol.  She sleeps on a dog bed right next to my bed.

She loves her crate - although I suspect this has to do with her addiction to peanut butter filled kongs that she gets every night, lol. She doesn't chew things, and doesn't destroy her toys. She loves the car, Lillie will make a great pet for someone who is willing to work with her and continue her training, and someone who wants a very cuddly and affectionate dog.

FYI: Lilie has long since weaned her pup & her nipples have rebounded & she has regained her 'girlish' figure. :-)

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.

The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label.

Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.
