Jazz joined LDDR in September 2010! 10/23/10 Jazz has such a wonderful personality and just loves being around people. She is very smart and has learned to sit, lay down, stay, wait and shake in just a week! She would excel at obedience as she is very motivated to learn. Jazz is very silly and does act like a big puppy at times and will entertain you for sure! She has done excellent with her other 5 foster sisters and brothers and has not even growled at anyone- she just wants to play! She does like to be an attention hog and will push the other dogs away from you -she is not agressive but uses her big body to her advantage-so we are working on waiting our turn to be petted. She has no food agression at all and will even share her food with the others. She goes right into her crate and is quiet and well mannered while in there. She will chase after a cat that runs but will not harm them and if you tell her no she will leave it alone. Jazz loves to go new places and meet new people and dogs and would do great with an active person or family! 9/15/2010: Hi my name is Jazz and I am a beautiful big happy Rottweiler/ Boxer mix. I weigh 80lbs and was born in 2/09 so I am not even 2 yet. My previous owner got evicted so they dumped me at a high-kill shelter. I am very friendly and affectionate and love giving kisses with my huge tongue! I get along great with other dogs of all sizes and ages both male and female and love to play with them. I do like to be the dominant dog but I don't ever say a word to my grouchy older Beagle foster sister as she is the boss and I currently live with 5 other dogs. I am housebroke, crate trained, ride great in the car and walk well on a leash. I am not overly hyper but I do have some energy so I would like to have a fenced in yard to run around and play in and/or an owner that likes to do activities with me. I love all people and children and I like cats too. I am very loyal and want to be with you as much as I can and I'm very content to just lay by you. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting.
