Meet Karly!
UPDATE: 1/30/11
Karly is still looking for her forever home! She adores every person she meets greeting them with an uncontrollable wagging tail, she loves to roll over and get belly rubs. Her favorite toy is a long rope which she plays with daily, she also loves to chase her tail! Karly knows how to sit, stay, shake with both paws and high 5! She also likes to lay down and roll over. She would love to have a fenced in yard so she can run around after squirrels in trees and expel some of her energy! She is great at fetch and could play for hours. Her favorite treat is a peanut butter filled kong and she absolutely loves to lay right on your chest and cuddle if you will let her.
We are working on her counter surfing which she is very sneaky at accomplishing. She will bark to let you know if someone is outside but she will stop if you tell her to. She is crate trained and potty trained, spayed and up to date! She would be a wonderful family dog, and would love a canine companion to play with daily. Please consider Karly Sue!! :)
As of October 23rd Karly is in her new foster home and fitting in nicely. She recently was in a home with A LOT of other dogs and even though she did well there, we found out she likes to chase cats. So, for the cats sake she is now in a home without other cats. She is also now in a home without other dogs and she is loving the one on one attention! She is a pretty laid back girl, if you decide it is play time she'll play- if you decide it's time to relax she will do that too. She is not demanding, but at the same time she loves her humans and will always be by your side. She likes to fetch and play chase and she is highly interested in squirrels. She definitely has a prey drive and will need to go to a home without cats or small animals. She is around 45 pounds and is short and stout.
Her favorite thing is to receive belly rubs, she is not a barker, and she seems to love all people she meets! Please consider Karly for your next furry friend!!!
Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.Other Pictures of Qa Litter-Karly Sue - ADOPTED 03.05.11 (click to see larger version):
